Paul Forbes was kind enough to gather information from the Montrose project supervisor about a week ago regarding the work completion for the intersection of Hillcrest/6600 Rd and Locust. Apparently, it is related to replacement of water lines in that area. It’s been taking longer than expected due to existing lines they were not aware of before they began, but he expects that they will complete the project in another 1-2 weeks, and will be able to reopen that intersection. However, there is another water project anticipated to begin soon after at the intersection of 6600 Rd and Horse Draft Rd (which is the entrance into the Homestead subdivision). It’s a much shorter project, but it may mean a street closure at that intersection. The city will post signs in advance of the closure so that we can make adjustments to our route south on 6600 Rd.
